Parker has started Kumon. It is an awesome after school program to help him with his English and Math skills. His chinese program is awesome but he needs some extra help with the English part so he will not be behind when he has to take the standardized testing in 3rd grade. It is so great to see his confindence building after only one week of classes!
Mckinley and I made a trip to our favorite kids museum. It is a great place for her to burn off some extra energy. She loves the water features, but often ends up wet head to toe so we always leave that part for last. The big rig is another favorite!
After the kids were all tucked in tonight, I started the fun process of planning our summer, I can't wait for summer camps and camping trips to begin! This will be a summer without little babies, we can do many more things with the kids now, a lot easier to be out and about all day!
Tonight I cooked Grandpa's famous lemon pepper fish, it was fun to have his memory with me in my kitchen, but it makes me so sad to remember that him and Grandma won't ever be with us around a campfire or fishing hole again. I taught a lesson on Sunday about the Law of Consecration and how someday we may have to live it again. As all of my possessions flashed through my head a few things came to mind that I just couldn't give up. My wedding ring and the silver necklace with their fingerprints on it first of all. That is so precious to me. I really want to have my kids and Andy do the same thing too.
Back to school tomorrow!
