My sister Leslie came up from Utah to visit us, we love it when we have company! We packed a lot into 4 days. We hit Pike's place and did a driving tour of Seattle. On friday we drove up to Vancouver. I was stopped and questioned at the border because I did not have a note from Andy giving me permission to cross the border with the kids. They wanted to make sure that I was not abducting them. The kids thought it was a great adventure, I was kind of scared until we were cleared through.
Vancouver, BC was fun, but you have to pay for parking everywhere you go, even Costco! We saw some of the Olympic sites and wandered around Gastown, old Vancouver. The next day we saw Chinatown and the beautiful garden there.
We opted out of seeing the Tulips on our way home because there was so much traffic! On sunday we went to Seattle again and played at Gasworks park and had lunch in Fremont. The street market in Fremont was very interesting! Parker picked out a great pipe and Hannah got a kick out of the pregnant hula hooper!

Another picture at the Falls.

We went to Blue C Sushi in fremont for lunch. The kids had a great time! The sushi was just ok, we are partial to our favorite place in Bellevue.

Mads was so happy to pull things off the conveyer belt for all of us at the table.

Hannah ate three plates of edamame by herself.

Parker liked the miso soup and the "beans" too.

They were looking for a great place to blow bubbles, but the wind would not cooperate.

Lookin across Fremont towards downtown Seattle.

FYI, the Sleepless in Seattle house is just outside of the picture to the right of the sailboats. Look for it when you come up.

We had never been here before, so glad Leslie picked it out of the guidebook.

Gasworks park in Seattle.

See the mischievious look on Hannah's face...Leslie gave her permission to sneak some shells home, after I had told them no way!

Playing on the beach in Vancouver, beautiful, but very cold and windy!

The kids looking for koi fish in the pond.

We went to a Chinese Garden in Chinatown. Very pretty!

On the way back to our hotel in the aquabus, the ride was about 2 minutes long!

The kids posing in front of the mini aqua-bus. Parker had just finished a pink ice cream, hence the clown-like face!

Hannah was laughing when I took this picture, 3 seconds later, she was bawling! The swing got going too fast for her.

Les and the kids eating mediocre fish and chips, Seattle's are much better!

Parker enjoying some fries on the pier on Granville Island, Vancouver BC.

We braved rain, snow and hail to make it up Snowqualmie to see the falls.

Hannah was not in the mood to smile at the camera.
