Forks

Lake Crescent between Port Angeles and Forks. The road here is so pretty! It follows the lake for about 20 miles, I can imagine how dangerous is would be with the logging trucks on it, it is very narrow and curvy.
The kids begged me to let them go swimming, they all ran in and then ran back out, it was too cold!
I finally tracked down the High School. (It wasn't that hard it is only two blocks away from the Thriftway, right next to the Post Office.)
First Beach

Parker had just gotten into trouble, niether one of us look like happy campers!
Madison self portrait.
These are a few of Parker's pics

The kids took a rest after climbing up the hill from Third Beach .
On the trail to Third Beach
Our first views of the beach.
Mushrooms anyone?
Holy cow, your roots are showing!
This fallen tree looked like a cave, none of the kids wanted to go inside, they were sure something scary was living inside of it.
Parker picked up this log and proclaimed "mommy, now I am a logger!"

I am the perfect boy scout, I can pitch a tent and build a mean fire!
I forgot a hammer though, I had to use a big rock, and we sleep in comfort, Ibrought our blow up mattresses and used the plug in the van to pump them up, no roughing it for us!
Madison asked me if they had given me an award for being such a great camper and knowing everything to do!
The River's Edge restaurant in La Push, First beach and the marina are out the window.
Some more views of Lake Crescent.
They were doing some work on the Hood Canal Bridge, Parker thought these "crane boats" were the coolest thing ever!
