This is the backyard, we are so lucky to have a yard at all. Most people live in high rise buildings here. On the right side of the picture you can see the other bedroom that is detached from the house. Grandma and Grandpa sleep there when we come to stay, the rest of the time it is used for storage and is Grandpa's "man cave"!
This is the main room of the house. When we are not here the bed goes into storage and it is the living room/ dining room for Grandma and Grandpa. The big screen tv we bough for them last year is just barely visible on the far left of the screen. Hannah and Maddie share the bed and Parker sleeps on the comfy couch.
This is the small kitchen/dining nook. The door you can see on the top right leads to the master bedroom. The living room is through the door you can see on the bottom right.
This is the master bedroom. Andy and I stay in here when we come.
The house was built in the early 20's by the French Concession that was working in the banks and for the trade companies at the time. The house is in a gated community. There are about 20 houses that are behind the walls. You have to check in with a security person when you come and go. It is a very safe area to live, and it seems to be 15 minutes from everything in the city. (And there is a Starbucks a half a block away for me to get my fix of something American!)
