
Sintra City

Sintra in on the western coast of Portugal. It is actually the westernmost point of Europe. This is a view from the town looking up to the mountain. That is a castle on top of the hill. I believe that it was built in the 1600's.

Cloister at St James, a cloister is where the monks used to spend time outside and they also held important events there.

St. James Cathedral built in 1500 something.

Fort in the middle of the river that protected the port of Portugal. There used to to be 3 of them, the tsumani of of 1755 wiped the other two out.

Monument to Columbus and all the other Navigational Explorers.
