Recipe of the Day June 3rd

I found this recipe when I was looking for freezer meal recipies. I'm really not sure where it came from but it is one our favorite go to meals. I use it over pasta, as a base for white pizza, a dip for breadsticks, and with a little cajun seasoning to make spicy shrimp alfredo (A's favorite at Red Lobster).


Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce
½ cup butter (you can use 1/4 but it will not be as ceamy)
1 8 oz package cream cheese (fat free is ok)
2 cloves garlic minced
2 cups milk (skim fine)
6 oz grated parmesan cheese (the real stuff)
Pepper to taste.
Freeze. To serve thaw and heat while constantly stirring. Serve over pasta.

Cajun shrimp alfredo.
Grill one pound shrimp. Add to thawed sauce with Cajun seasoning to taste. I use about 1 T. Serve over pasta.
